And that's why the Senate is what it is. Other examples?<br /><br />The Russians are total thugs who steal and land grab nationhood from their neighbors. They were so under the Czars. They were so under Lenin and Stalin. They are so under Putin. It wasn't communism we needed to fear. It was, and still is, Russianism.<br /><br />The French? I give you Francois Hollande. I give you, a bit before that, Dominique Strauss Kahn. I give you...how far back do you want to go? Louis Quatroze and his mistresses, for openers. <br /><br />Ditto what's wrong with us. We're a democracy, sure, but so are lots of nations. When you get down to unique national traits, we are essentially lazy layabouts who celebrate ignorance while claiming to celebrate hard work, and who support Congressional representatives who prefer character assassination to achievement.<br /><br />No doubt there are those who will read this and accuse me of making snap sweeping generalizations from an intensely prejudiced point-of-view.
