To the extent that I relied on shameless and gall to carry me through a brazen abuse of prosecutorial power, I don't apologize one bit.

The students' innocence was established when the DNA didn't match. Nifong ignored this fact and prosecuted ",,,the old fashioned way" which means on the word of an anonymous accuser and nothing
more.
Every state thas a law that allows this under the notion that "women don't lie". Nifong didn't do anything the law doesn't allow.
This isn't the first time an outrageous injustice was perpetrated and it won't be the last.
