This is post #1,000, although it's a bit of a cheat because on one occasion I see I accidentally wrote the same item twice--being old and garrulous, I try to be on guard against that, but here at least I seem to have slipped up (and no, I'm not going to tell which--go find it for yourself).
I see also that I've had some 1,500 individual profile hits--but that is a bit of a deception because I appear also to have 40-odd subscribers. To my taste, those numbers are perfect--just enough attention to insulate me against pure solipsism, not enough to compel me to take any of this seriously.
