Italobleg

Can anybody tell me how to buy Star Porcini Mushroom Bullion (link) in the United States? The last time I was in Italy, I brought home a bunch of it, but I'm running out.

Oh, stop whining. The dollar is in enough trouble without exporting three or four more of them to Europe.

Just take a bunch of porcini mushrooms, wash 'em off, and boil the living crap out of 'em. (Afterwards, you can even smoosh some of 'em up in a blender to thicken the broth.) You can even experiment with boiling them in chicken broth.

If you can make a big batch, freeze it in ice cube trays and then defrost one cube at a time when needed.
