New Spam relating to “Microsoft Security Update”

Several federal courts have recently reported getting a spam email regarding a purported critical Microsoft Security Update for Windows pc's.

The fraudulent email copies the Microsoft Update graphic to make it appear to be an official Microsoft notice. These types of email rely on a user’s sense of urgency in order to install unauthorized software on a victim’s computer.

Uh, but how do I know that this is not a fake? Did someone say “infinite regress?”
