The Daily Show was in great form last night. In addition to the comment you note, there was the bit where Chuck Todd (isn't he NBC's White House correspondent for god's sake?) used Karl Malden's death to promote NBC by playing "six degrees of separation," leading us to Michael Douglas (Malden's partner in "The Streets of SF") doing the voice over to introduce the Nightly News with Brian Williams. (Shit, now I feel bad because I just repeated the offense.) And then there was Stewart's comment after we had to look at Michael Jackson's bedroom and listen to a voice say: "This was the room where Michael went into cardiac arrest." Stewart's response: "And it's also the room where news died."
