The Guy Noir of the Bookkeeping Set

I have a soft spot for forensic accounting: the sleuths who look for fraud in other people's paperwork, etc., camped out on the 12th floor of the Acme Buidling, Trying to Find the Answers to questions like, oh, like "who deep-sixed the receivables?" Here's one in the Financial Times: Simon Bevan, BDO Stoy Hayward. "We turn down two jobs out of 10 because of safety and another two because we are not comfortable with the prospective clients," he says. One downside: no shoutouts: "clients are never overtly grateful."
