My Word for the Day: Clong

Clong, n. A rush of @#$! to the heart after hearing unexpected bad news.
"I almost clonged when the judge asked the question about perfection when no financing statement had been filed."
Attributed to the late Bob Shutan, bankruptcy lawyer extraordinaire, by a former student.* Google "Define Clong," and you get nothing helpful, though Dictionary.com does say "clong" is "the imperfect of cling."

*Who says it should be "v." But language is a living thing.
