The United States needs to pull itself together and act as a community of adults. The appropriate reaction to murder is trial and punishment. Hysterical grief is inappropriate.I suppose you could say: Patrick is an old soldier who has seen a lot of bad things for whom a jaded response only seems callous.
Or you might say he is a guy with a highly calibrated crap detector who knows how to recognize shameless political pandering when he sees it.

Mr Lang gets a bit cranky at times. That is why he is not on my bookmarks list. He is the only knowledgeable blogger who pushed back against Israel propaganda. That is why I used to read his blog.
