Here are a few of the things Sontag did not approve of: writer's colonies, the countryside ... Hawaii, carrying a purse, squeamishness, baby talk, women with menstrual complaints, feminists who complained about being underrepresented in the arts, wives, couples, other people's depression, other people's parenting, tears, American education, and American culture in general.
