Here's an Italian theatre company offering "un'opera di William Shakespeare, La bisbetica domata."
--Bisbetica?
--Oh, bisbetica. Shrew. It's "The Taming of the Shrew."
--Not a very common word.
--No, not very common. But once in a while you'll hear an old Italian lady say of her dear friend--the one she has known since school days--"Oh, she's such a bisbetica."
