Miss America Takes a Risk
Ever alert to current events, the Wichita bureau notes that the new Miss America won her honor with a bit of opera but hopes to use her scholarship money towards law school. We're wondering if opera mightn't be the safer choice.

"Miss America represents everyone, so I think the message to political candidates is that they represent everyone as well," she said. "And so in these economic times, we need to be looking forward to what America needs, and I think Miss America needs to represent all."
Doesn't this upset the careful beauty pagent - pharmaceutical rep career path structure that sustains the institution?
Based on anecdotal knowledge, it appears there are far more displaced attorneys than displaced opera singers.
